This program will review some of the most common skin manifestations seen in the long-term sub-acute care setting. Older adults are at higher risk for many different skin conditions, including various inflammatory conditions as well as benign and malignant neoplasms. Content includes assessment and diagnostic tips to help identify skin lesions that look similar, and treatment considerations once the etiology has been confirmed. Attending this program will assist clinicians with the recognition and care planning for patient and residents with dermatologic conditions. |
FACULTY: David J. Wong, MD, PhD, is a board-certified dermatologist, CEO and Co-Founder of DirectDerm, and Clinical Associate Professor at Stanford University. Dr. Wong attended medical school at University of Washington School of Medicine and completed his dermatology residency at Stanford. He also received a PhD in Molecular Genetics at the University of Washington and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. |
