Chuck Gokoo MD,CMO, CWS,FACCWS

Dr. Gokoo leads a team of multidisciplinary clinical specialists dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents in the long term care setting. As part of the key management he performs an integral role in the implementation of new products and procedures. He devotes a significant part of his time to meeting and working with providers and state agencies regarding the evolving medical needs of long term care residents.

Early in his 34 year medical career, he recognized a need for science based interventions in wound management. This led to his collaborating with other wound care experts in conducting outcome-based clinical trials for the medical/wound products industry. Recognizing a need for practical application, he then transitioned from research to advancing the needed wound management strategies by providing education to numerous clinicians across the continuum of wound management.

Dr. Gokoo’s background in acute and chronic wound management has led to publications and numerous speaking engagements at national and international wound society meetings. He is a member of multiple professional organizations and editorial boards, a Diplomat of the American Board of Wound Management and a founder of The American College of Certified Wound Specialist.
