Our Executive Team
Chuck Gokoo, MD, CMO, CWS, FACCWS
As the Chief Medical Officer for American Medical Technologies, Dr. Gokoo leads a team of multidisciplinary clinical specialists dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents in the long term care setting. As part of key management, he performs an integral role in the development and implementation of new products and procedures. He has devoted a significant part of his time to meeting and working with providers and state agencies regarding the evolving medical needs of long term care residents.
Dr. Gokoo is a member of multiple professional organizations and editorial boards and holds a Diplomate of the American Academy of Wound Management. He is a founder as well as a Fellow, of The American College of Certified Wound Specialists. Dr. Gokoo’s background in chronic wound management has led to contributions toward many publications and he performs numerous speaking engagements at national and international wound society meetings.
Michael Watson
Mr. Watson is Vice President – Governmental Affairs and Corporate Compliance Officer at American Medical Technologies. In addition to participating in the CMS program to develop the current version of the DMEPOS Supplier Standards, he is co-founder of a coalition, with Dr. Hettrick, spearheading the national legislative effort to de-consolidate wound care from Consolidated Billing/Prospective Payment Systems for Skilled Nursing Facilities and Home Health Agencies. He currently sits on the Provider Outreach and Education Advisory Committee for DME-MAC Jurisdiction A; and is active with the Advancing Excellence in America’s Nursing Homes Campaign (www.nhqualitycampaign.org).
After careers in Banking/Finance, Law Enforcement and Import/Export and Transportation Management, Mr. Watson joined the Federal Medicare Program in 1986 as the Presiding Officer for Administrative Appeals Hearings. During his 16-year tenure, Mr. Watson heard and adjudicated more than 35,000 Medicare Appeals involving Part-A, Part-B and Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics and Supplies (DMEPOS). He became a nationally recognized expert in the Medicare Administrative Appeals process.
Heather Hettrick, , PT, PhD, CWS, MLT, FACCWS
Dr, Hettrick is the Vice President- Academic Affairs and Education for American Medical Technologies. She is responsible for the oversight and management of all education needs for AMT employees and business associates. She also collaborates with the Chief Medical Officer, Director of Clinical
Education and Vice Presidents of Field Operations, to ensure high quality wound care education and resources that are evidence-based and reflective of best practice, and she is the keynote speaker on behalf of AMT for the Nursing Home Quality Campaign.
Dr. Hettrick is a Certified Wound Specialist by the American Academy of Wound Management and a Fellow of the American College of Certified Wound Specialists. She is also certified as a Manual Lymph Therapist by the Academy of Lymphatic Studies. Dr. Hettrick is an adjunct professor at Drexel University and sits on the Panel of the National Pressure Advisory Panel. She is a Past President of the American Academy of Wound Management.
Sarah Holden-Mount, PT, CWS, FACCWS
Ms. Holden-Mount has worked with American Medical Technologies since 2002 and oversees the daily operations of the Eastern Region of the United States as Vice President of Field Operations. She works closely with her staff, other members of the regional Executive Team, and the Principals of the company to ensure that American Medical Technologies is the provider of choice for wound care products and education.
Ms. Holden-Mount is a licensed physical therapist in the field of wound care and holds Diplomate status as a Certified Wound Care Specialist with the American Academy of Wound Management. She also is a Fellow in the College of Certified Wound Specialists, and is a member of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care. Ms. Holden-Mount sits on the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel’s Provider Organization Council.
Staci Roberts, PT, CWS, FACCWS
As a Vice President of Field Operations for AMT on the West Coast, Ms. Roberts manages a team of over 50 professionals overseeing business development, daily management operations and professional training of her staff.
Ms. Roberts is a licensed physical therapist with over 11 years of wound care experience. She serves on the Board of Directors for the American College of Certified Wound Specialists, the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel, and the Alliance of Wound Care Stakeholders representing the American College of Certified Wound Specialists. Ms. Roberts is also a member of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care, and has served on the host committee for the Symposium of Advanced Wound Care Meeting.
Misty Vaughn, MS, PT, CWS, FACCWS, DAPWCA

Misty Vaughn, Vice President of Field Operations at American Medical Technologies, is responsible for the growth and development of the Midwest region. She functions as the Provider Unit Director for the AMT Provider Unit, which is an approved provider of continuing nursing education. In addition, Ms. Vaughn helps to provide direction and leadership to a variety of clinical aspects within the company.
Ms. Vaughn is a Certified Wound Specialist and a member of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care, the American Professional Wound Care Association, and a member of the Clinical Electrophysiology/Wound Care section of the American Physical Therapy Association. She is also contributing author on Physical Therapy Modalities in Wound Care.
Adrianna Cantu PT, CWS, FACCWS
Adrianna is Director of Training and Development for American Medical Technologies. Her experience, combined with her talent for developing streamlined systems, positions her to lead and organize the company's concepts, practices and procedures into AMT's standardized training curriculum. Adrianna and her team of five corporate trainers, successfully launched and implemented "Uniquely One," AMT's National Training Program. Today, she oversees a team of eight Corporate Trainers and two Orientation Team members, who collectively deliver a companywide curriculum aimed at fast-tracking new employees for success at AMT.
Adrianna has a BSc Biology and an MSc in Physical Therapy. She holds the designation of Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) from the American Academy of Wound Management and is a Fellow of the American College of Certified Wound Specialists.
Pamela Scarborough, PT, MS, CDE, CWS, FACCWS
Ms. Scarborough is the Director of Education for American Medical Technologies. As a well known educator and speaker, Ms. Scarborough frequently presents at national symposia and conferences. She is highly sought after to provide continuing education lectures and seminars in the fields of wound management and diabetes care and complications.
In addition to holding a license to practice physical therapy in the state of Texas, she is board certified as both a diabetes educator (CDE) and wound specialists (CWS). Ms. Scarborough serves on the Board of Directors of the College of Certified Wound Specialists and on the Board for the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care. She has published numerous articles and monographs, and contributed to book publications on topics related to wound care and diabetes management.
